Form EA is an annual tax document issued by employers in Malaysia to employees, providing a summary of their income, deductions, and tax-related details for the year.

Employees use this form to file their personal income tax returns with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN).

The EA Form includes all types of earnings received by the employee, such as basic salary, overtime pay, bonuses, commissions, and allowances. It also covers benefits-in-kind (BIK) as well as contributions to EPF, SOCSO, and EIS.

Although employers do not need to submit the EA Form to LHDN, employees rely on it to file their income tax.

Delays or mistakes in issuing the EA Form can lead to complaints and unnecessary legal risks.
