Summary

Before you start scheduling shifts for your employees, you are advised to choose a setting that works best for your company. This is important because the workflow of shifts varies with different settings. Payboy allows two different types of scheduling workflow, which are bidding for shifts and allocating employee according to their availability.

How to manage schedule settings

  • From the side panel, select Shift schedule > Rostering settings

  • Click the checkbox to allow for the rostering module on the employee portal. If it is not checked, employees will not be able to view their planned and published shifts done by either their managers or an admin.

  • Click the checkbox to allow managers to plan shifts for employees using their employee account.

  • You are also able to indicate a cutoff date for overtime and shift breakdown pay items to be included in the respective month's payroll.

e.g. Entire monthly pay is to be paid out on the 31st of every month, but OT pay is only to be paid out on the 20th of the month - indicate 20 days in this setting.
