For employees working on public holidays, it is mandatory for the company to pay an overtime salary or compensate the employee with an off-in-lieu. Companies might want to set an expiry date for this off-in-lieu so that employees will not be able to accumulate the off-in-lieu.

  • On the side navigation bar, Go to "Leaves" > Select "Give Additional Leaves"

  • You can either use the "Annual Leave"  leave type OR create an "Off-in-lieu" leave type.

  • Select the Leave type, put the reason as "Off-in-lieu: Public Holiday" > set the expiry date according to your company policy > select the employee that will get this off-in-lieu, and click on the "Create Additional Leaves" button at the bottom of the page.

Note: If you wish to create an Off-in-lieu leave type, you can follow this article. You can put the base entitlement as "0" so you can add any additional leaves if needed later.

Once you're done, your employee will receive the Off-in-lieu to be used!
