I cannot generate payroll, Employee’s Status is “Onboarding”. Employee's Status "Onboarding"

If you'd like to change your Employee's Status from Onboarding to Active you may proceed with the following steps:

Check with your employee

Your employee should have received an invitation email where there will be an Onboard now link to click as shown below:

Clicking the Onboard now link will prompt the employee to set up their password to log in.

Once the password is set, their account status will be set to Active.


Admin activates the account on behalf ofthe employee

If for any reason as an admin, you wish to change the status without the employee setting up the password themselves, you may do so by following the steps:

  1. Go to Employees > All Employees > Filter the employee you wish to change to Active > Click on the Eye icon to view their Profile

  2. Under the Personal tab, note the Email section

  3. Click the Copy Invitation Link button and the link will be copied

  4. Paste the link in a separate web browser and this will prompt you to set up the password for the employee
    Note: As you're setting up the password for the employee, you may set it as a temporary password for the time being and let your employee know about it. They can log in and change their password as they deem necessary afterward.

  5. Once done, the account status should change to Active.
