Summary
We understand that at some point in time, employees will inevitably resign due to some circumstance or another. Hence, Payboy has included an offboarding module in its system. This allows the company to keep past documents related to their employees and their employment even after leaving the company.
How to resign or offboard an employee
Head to Employees > click on All Employees on the side menu
Click Offboard button on the particular employee who is resigning
Alternatively, you can click the employee's profile:
and scroll down until you see Offboard button:
Select the Formal termination date.
Enter the Reason for termination from the drop-down menu of reasons.
Elaborate on the reason for termination (if necessary).
Click Next once done.
Click the + Add new document button to attach any necessary resignation documents.
Then, click Next.
Choose if you want to send an email notifying the employee of his/her offboarding.
Enter Offboarding instructions, if necessary.
Note: The content of the offboarding email is automated and cannot be modified, but you can include any additional information in the 'Offboarding Instructions' section.
Click Offboard to complete the offboarding process.
Note: If the termination date is a current or future date, the employee's status will be marked as "terminating". If the termination date has already passed, the employee's status will be "resigned". You can check this on Employee > All Employees page.
You can cancel an offboarding by heading to the employee's profile and scrolling to the bottom of the page, the Cancel Offboarding button will be on the right corner of the page.
Alternatively, you will also be able to Cancel Offboarding by heading over to Employee's Profile > Employment Details > Career History and clicking on the "x" next to the set end date.
