A newly onboarded employee will usually be set to be on Probation for a certain amount of time. During the Probationary period, the default setting would be that the employee can only submit Unpaid Leave requests.

If the employee is still able to submit Paid Leave Requests, you can refer to these steps to check on the entitlement.

  • Open the sidebar and select Employees > All Employees, and click on the eye icon of the employee you wish to edit.

  • Next, you will be redirected to that employee's personal profile > Employment Details tab > select Edit icon.

  • Change Employment Type field to "Probation".

Once probation has been chosen for the employment type and the end date of the probation period is set, the employee is only able to apply for unpaid leaves

If you have changed the employment type from full-time/part-time to probation, as an admin, you may still see the leave entitlement as this is for record-keeping, and only admins/managers will be able to submit a Paid leave request on behalf of the employee.
