How to Cancel the Employee Offboarding Process

Thankfully, many errors are reversible, and with a proactive approach, you can still cancel or amend the situation to ensure a smooth transition. A. How to Cancel the Offboarding Process for a Future End Date

This guide assists administrators in canceling an employee's offboarding process when the end date entered is set for a future time. It explains how to address situations where the employee's account status appears as Terminating rather than Resigned on the All Employee page, ensuring a smooth correction of the employee's status.


Steps

1. From the All Employees page > click the view icon to navigate to the employee profile > click the Employment Details tab > scroll down to the bottom of the page

2. There are two methods:

a. Scroll down to find the Career History section, then you will see the X button beside the End Date information to remove the end date.

Once the X button is clicked, the confirmation button will show as below. Click OK to continue.

A green message prompt will appear at the top of the screen to confirm the removal of the end date.

b. Scroll down to the bottom, and you will see the Cancel Offboarding button to click.

Once the button is clicked, you will see the green prompt as shown below for confirmation.

Employee Terminating status will change into Active.


B. Steps to Cancel an Offboarded Employee Position

It provides step-by-step instructions for correcting this mistake, ensuring that employees who were mistakenly categorized as resigned are properly reinstated and can continue their roles without account access disruption.


Steps

1. From the Employee's Profile > Employment Details tab > scroll down to Career History. Click the X symbol beside the End Date information to remove the date and cancel the offboard.

2. Once clicked, the confirmation prompt will show. Click OK to continue the end date removal.

A green message prompt will appear at the top of the screen to confirm the removal of the end date.

Employee Resigned status will change into Active, allowing the employee to log in to their account and resume using it as per usual.
