For employees working on public holidays, it is mandatory for the company to pay an overtime salary or compensate the employee with an off-in-lieu. Companies might want to set an expiry date for these off-in-lieu so that employees will not be able to accumulate the off-in-lieu.
To add an off-in-lieu for your employee, you can either use the "Annual Leave" leave type OR create an "Off-in-lieu" leave type.
On the side navigation bar, Go to "Leaves" > Select "Give Additional Leaves"
Select the Leave type, put the reason as "Off-in-lieu: Public Holiday" > set the expiry date according to your company policy > select the employee that will get this off-in-lieu, and click on the "Create Additional Leaves" button at the bottom of the page.
Once you're done, your employee will receive the Off-in-lieu to be used!
