What is the Brunei Bank file for?

The Brunei Bank file, as the name suggests, is used to transact money between Brunei banks.

Specific to Brunei, there are 8 Brunei banks that can be selected for transactions.

  • Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam

  • Baiduri Bank

  • Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei

  • Bank of China (Brunei)

  • Maybank (Brunei)

  • Standard Chartered Bank (Brunei)

  • RHB Bank Berhad (Brunei)

  • UOB (Brunei)

How do I use the Brunei Bank file?

Step 1:

Go to Employees > All Employees > Select an employee and click “View” icon

Step 2:

Under Employment Details > Go to Payment Details > Payment Method > Select GIRO (Brunei)

Step 3:

Once GIRO (Brunei) is selected, the dropdown list of banks will only show 8 banks, and they are all Brunei banks.

Select the preferred bank of your choice.

Step 4:

Generate Payroll as per normal.

Step 5:

To submit or download GIRO file for Brunei Bank file, make sure to use Biznet.

Note: GIRO Submission/Filing for Brunei banks is only applicable if GIRO (Brunei) is selected.

What is Transfer Mode?

Transfer mode is an important step for Brunei Bank files to go through IF you DID NOT select BIBD (Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam) as your option among the bank choices.

How do I use “Transfer Mode”?

Transfer Mode will be shown under “Bank Name” and “Bank Account Number”, and there will be 2 options to choose from.

If your bank is BIBD, transfer mode is not required to fill in.
