Summary
It's the start of a new year! And that means that it is also time to do Tax Filing!
Do take note that the submission period for IRAS tax filing generally starts from 2 January to 1 March. Currently, Payboy has IR8A & Appendix 8A submission through API.
How to fill Appendix 8A?
For those with benefit-in-kind filled on IR8A, you would need to fill out the Appendix 8A form as well.
Here are the steps:
From the left-hand side navigation bar, go to Payroll > select Tax Filing
Firstly, you will need to create an IR8A through either Create New Tax Filing or Create New Amendment. You can follow the steps here.
Only when there are Benefits-in-Kind filled under Optional Declaration, you can file for Appendix 8A.
How to submit an A8A Filing?
Step 1: Click on Required under the A8A column.
Step 2: Click +New A8A Filing
Step 3: Fill in the form accordingly
Important Note for filling:
- When completing the IR8A form, ensure that the total benefits-in-kind value entered matches the amount declared in the Optional Declaration section.
If the values key in do not match, the system will display the following message:
Please review and ensure both entry values are the same before submitting the form.
Step 4: Then click Submit and go back to the Summary page
📝 Important Note
Repeat steps 1–4 to continue adding Appendix 8A forms for the relevant employees.
Please note that IRAS allows multiple Appendix 8A forms to be created for the same employee. However, only Sections 1 and 2 can be completed more than once, while Sections 3 and 4 can only be completed once per employee. Click here to see what Appendix 8A looks like.
Submit via API:
Step 5: For submission through API
Click API Validate. You will be redirected to the Corppass login page - log in and ensure the validation is successful.
Once validated, return to the page and click API Submit (APEX). The API Submit (APEX) button will no longer be greyed out after the API has been successfully validated.
