We are pleased to introduce a new function within Payboy Malaysia's SOCSO module: the Skim Kemalangan Bukan Bencana Kerja (SKBBK), also known as LINDUNG 24 Jam.
As outlined by PERKESO, this scheme provides round‑the‑clock protection for eligible employees throughout their employment period, covering accidents that occur outside working hours and are not directly related to their job or duties.
With LINDUNG 24 Jam, employees receive comprehensive coverage for non‑employment injuries, including medical treatment financed by PERKESO. Contributions are mandatory and fully borne by employees, following the tables on page 4 linked here.
To help you stay compliant and manage contributions seamlessly, June 2026 onwards, Payboy has now added this new SKIM option under the SOCSO section of the system. You can easily select SKBBK for eligible employees and let Payboy handle the rest, including accurate contribution calculations.
How to Exclude an Employee from SKBBK Contribution
By default, the SKBBK option is enabled for all employees in the system, including newly onboarded employees. However, if certain employees are not required to contribute due to valid reasons, you can easily exclude them on a case-by-case basis.
Follow the steps below to disable SKBBK for an individual employee:
Go to the Employee’s Profile
Navigate to the employee’s profile page from the All Employees list.Open Employment Details tab
Click on the Employment Details tab to view their job and payment information.Edit Payment Details
Locate the Payment Details information and click the Edit (pencil/edit icon) button.Modify SOCSO Details
Under the SOCSO Details section, you will find a marked option related to SKBBK.Untick the SKBBK Option
Simply uncheck the box to disable SKBBK contribution for this employee.Save Changes
Click the Submit button to save the change.
SKBBK Contribution Amount – Example
Below is the June 2026 payslip screenshot taken from our test employee with a salary of RM4,670.00.
Following the contribution table shared by PERKESO, the SKBBK contribution for an employee earning this amount is RM34.85.
Important Note❗
- SKBBK contribution will only appear on the June 2026 payroll onwards
- For Malaysia entity users: The pay item setup now includes a “SKBBK Applicable” checkbox, as shown in the screenshot below. Ensure this is configured correctly to avoid contribution errors.
